MULTIFUNCTION PHOTOCOPIERS

Author: Alexis Svenn

In the busy office environment a photocopier has become a focal point of activity, a silent sentinel.

In a previous job I used to while away hours by a huge photocopier machine whilst it copied, printed and collated vast mountains of manuals. The photocopy room was conveniently situated quite close to the typing pool ( yes it was a few years ago) so I would get the chance to engage the ladies there in a little conversation too. I have fond memories of the room and its two looming photocopier mahines. Wow they have advanced since then.

In the intervening period I have remained much the same size whilst these Multifunctional Photocopier machines have decreased in dimensions whilst increasing immeasurably in terms of efficiency, economy and features. I have not heard them in action but I would guess that they dont chug and 'smoke' in the same way as they did before. These machines are even energy star compliant.

I got down to investigating the features of a Sharp ARM451N printer/ photocopier, amazing. As Newman Business Solutions say on their site :
"To get ahead in today’s ruthless business world, you need to work smarter - not harder."
Indeed this machine allows multifunctionality to the max, it includes no less than a 40Gigabyte harddrive ( you could store up to 15000 songs on that, err ), it has document storage and workflow document management allowing full network printing ( this is combined with a full auditing capability of up to 500 accounts).

Needless to say this machine scans, emails, copies, prints - all up to 1200dpi and working its way up to an impressive 45 sheets per minute.

You can see the Sharp Multifunction Photocopier at Newman Business Solutions. It even looks pretty attractive, well kind of.
